The Legendary Creem magazine has been resurrected by the Rock Gods that had created it, Passion Roxx. In fact, lead singer Taz insists that because of that fateful Aqua net ridden night back in 1986- we left the crystal"...it's like in Superman II, that gleaming crystal he left right before he bumped uglies with Lois Lame, then realized she was a skank and he went back to get it! Bassist Pete the Meat says they did leave the crystal; "...in a baggie underneath the school bus dash!" Nevertheless- According to Taz; "Creem magazine realized that Passion Roxx, just like the chain smoking cackler, Lois, realized that his mission was beyond his emission, It just all makes sense." Maybe to a pimp or a hooker. "Creem magazine owes us a debt of gratitude," lead guitarist Vic Andrews laments; "Since they are the coolest Rock n Roll magazine ever in the history of mankind, womankind, or any kind. Every original song for me usually has a story behind it. This one is no exception. Written after a hard break-up with a massively filled estrogen filled creature! It was definitely me; after looking back on it- Live, Love and learn. I know, I know...
These veteran rock-smith's have been hammering it all out the past year creating jams and grooves so edgy, so thick and juicy, you can only cut it with some focused hostility. Cocked full of attitude, style and even urgently anxious at times; this pocket groove is so clever-their first album's collection of true rock classics will get you banging your head in no time. Dance, trance, apocalypse.
This was the first song I wrote when in Talon. I had a few I brought with me, but this one everybody contributed a bit and it was the first time I felt we were a band: it's funny though, in 1990, Cinderella put out an album and song called Heartbreak Station, and Tom Keifer heard us play it at Club 19. Thanks Tommy! (Like saying South park's, TTTTooommy!) - circa 1988 King's Road Tavern, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Long lost footage of a phenomenal place lost in time, King's Road Tavern, hosted by Mama Gilbert. R.I.P. King's Road was like Tootsie's is to Nashville. A sheer legacy. Mama always said, there are two things you don't do in Myrtle Beach, don't spit in the wind and never screw over Mama Gilbert!." What a great lady she was, and the best of times.
